Jill is currently the teacher librarian at Kenai Central High School and Kenai Middle School in the KPBSD school district. She is in her 20th year as a school librarian in elementary, Middle and High School She has a passion for teaching, a love of reading and share that excitement with anyone who will listen. Living on the Kenai Peninsula provides many opportunities for adventures in the outdoors. She loves to hike with her dog and get out in the beautiful state and enjoy all it has to offer. Contact Jill

Laura Guest is the librarian at Eagle River Elementary School in the Anchorage School District. She worked as a high school librarian and as a library/media adjunct professor at Indiana State University. Prior to becoming a library teacher she was a high school vocational business teacher and adjunct professor for several community colleges. Guest holds a Masters of Business Education, Library Certification from Indiana State University and is a National Board Certified Library Teacher K-12. She lives in Wasilla and enjoys camping, fishing and exploring Alaska by ATV. Contact Laura
Audrey Drew is a Nationally Board Certified Media Specialist working in the Anchorage School District in Alaska at Turnagain Elementary. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska, a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Utah State University, a M.S. in Secondary Science Education from Utah State University, and a Library Endorsement from the University of Washington. In addition to being a Code.org Facilitator, she is a Certified Educator for Common Sense Education, BrainPOP, Raspberry Pi, and Google. Audrey looks forward to giving back to her profession as the Treasure for Alaska State Association of School Librarians (AKASL). AKLA has given so to her over the years through education, collaboration, and grants and she is very appreciative to all the organization has given her.
Audrey has lived in Alaska for the last 25 years with her husband Gary, a Biologist with U.S. Geological Survey. They have two children, Raimey and Dawson, and their 14 year old Pomeranian/Shih Tzu mix; Max. Audrey and her family love to ski, hike, fish, and enjoy all that Alaska has to offer!

Laura is currently the librarian at Seward Middle School. This is her 12th year as a school librarian, and she also served 2 years as the Director of the Seldovia Public Library. She holds a BS in Secondary Science Education from the University of Montana/Western and a Masters of Library Science, K-12 from Kent State. She has always been a curious soul who thrives on investigating, pondering & marveling about the natural world and man’s ideas. And isn’t the library just the perfect place to encourage and feed that curiosity in others? Laura and her husband have 3 grown children and a little dog named Zoe. She loves kayaking, art, knitting, pottery, music, and she somehow never has enough time to read. Thank goodness for audiobooks! Contact Laura

Over the past 19 years Katie has taught children in grades K-8, serving as a physical education teacher, classroom teacher, Title I teacher, reading specialist, technology specialist, and middle school math and science teacher. Then, nine years ago, she discovered school library and fell in love. She completed a Masters in Arts in Information and Communication Technology in 2002 (University of Otago, New Zealand) and a School Library Professional Certificate in 2008 (University of Washington). In 2011, Katie completed her National Board Certification in Library Media. She is currently the librarian at Mat-Su Central School. Contact Katie

Caitlin is the librarian at Ketchikan High School. She has been with Ketchikan school libraries since 2004, after 10 years in public libraries in the Lower '48. She is a graduate of Whitworth College in Spokane, WA and received her MLS from Catholic University, in DC. Caitlin has served as Secretary in AkLA, and as both chair and member of various ALA committees, including Notable Books for Children, Program Coordinating, Newbery (The Graveyard Book), and Caldecott (My Friend Rabbit). Caitlin is a Ketchikan HS graduate, and is glad to be back home after 20 years "off the rock". She lives with her husband, Al, and dogs Rosco and Sadie.
